Membership application
To apply for membership in the Inverse Problems International Association
(IPIA), please fill out the form below. The decision on being listed at Member List can be revoked at any time by sending an email to ipia@gwdg.de.
Membership applications must be supported by two IPIA members. If you know colleagues listed under Member List please provide their names and email addresses and ask them to send a short message to ipia@gwdg.de confirming their support of your membership application.
Otherwise, the IPIA office will try to approach suitable members.
Information on processing of personal data
By becoming a member of IPIA you agree that all data concerning your membership (e.g., name, affiliation, current position, and payment of membership fees) may be processed and saved by IPIA for administrative purposes. Data concerning membership status may be exchanged with other scientific associations with which IPIA has reciprocal agreements concerning membership fees. Otherwise, IPIA will not pass on your personal data to third parties. Complaints concerning the processing of your data should be addressed to the Secretary of the association.
You can revoke this consent at any time and without reasons by email to ipia@gwdg.de, but this will lead to cancellation of your membership. With resignation from the association all of your data will be deleted.
Annual Membership fees:
- 25 USD or 25 Euro (regular fee)
- 10 USD or 10 Euro for members of developing countries
(This applies to countries for which the Human Development Index determined by the United Nations Development Programme is smaller than 0.8, such as currently Brazil, China, India, Iran, Mexico, Ukraine, and Vietnam. A complete list can be found here.) - 5 USD or 5 Euro for PhD students
Reciprocal agreements with German speaking Inverse Problems Society (GIP) and Finnish Inverse Problems Society (FIPS):
- Reduced regular membership fee: 20 Euro
- Reduced membership fee for postdocs: 15 Euro
